Today God God wants you to know that you have to choose to think RIGHT THOUGHTS on purpose. Your thoughts matter. You can either think negatively about yourself or you can think positively.
Yes, we have been given a sound mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16 NIV). But our old thought patterns don’t just conform to God’s word, without us enforcing our minds to think in the direction of the Holy Spirit. In Romans 12:2 NIV it says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”.
In Isaiah 26:3 NIV it says, “You will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you”.
How do I reprogram my mind to think God’s thoughts? We have to feed our mind with the word of God. I have to actively confess who I am. If I say I am what my emotions say, then I am not in tune with the Holy Spirit.
I am letting my mind control me and not my spirit man. How do we know when the mind has overtaken the spirit man?
When we start speaking like we are under and not over. When we start thinking and speaking defeat instead of victory.
When we start magnifying our challenges and not the size of our God, then we know that we have stepped out of our new man and into our old man. We need to immediately step back into our right standing in Christ Jesus and identify with who God says we are.
We have to be careful about what we say, for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of (Luke 6:45 NIV).
If you are constantly saying that you are full of pain. You are actually agreeing with that feeling instead of your righteous identity in Christ. CHOOSE WISELY. We have to say- “Thank you Jesus that you have redeemed me from pain 2000 years ago”. “Praise God,I am pain free”.
By doing that, you are actually activating faith that already resides on the inside of you.
The words that come out of your mouth will always show you what you have been meditating on.
If you are focused on the flesh, it is hard to see the promise. Our minds become clouded by what we see and not what we believe.
Our belief systems are running based on what we are feeding them at all times.
We are either feeding our faith or we are feeding our fear by the thoughts we think and the words we say.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 NIV).
What voice are you listening to? The Lies of the enemy or the truth of the Holy Spirit.
In Proverbs 23:7 AMP it says, “As a man thinks in His heart so is He”.
Our old thoughts can only be replaced with new thoughts when we start confessing what the word of God says. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 NIV).
OUR VICTORY IS ALWAYS STANDING FIRM IN OUR POSITIONING IN CHRIST JESUS. HOW DO WE FIND OUR STANDING? BY KNOWING WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS.
If you keep proclaiming the word of God over that specific NEGATIVE belief, then the power of the spoken word will supernaturally eradicate the negative belief and replace it with the truth. In Hebrews 4:12 it says, “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires”.
IT IS ONLY THE WORD OF GOD THAT CAN CHANGE A BELIEF.
It doesn’t just happen, we have to make the word of God happen in our lives. We have to mutter the word and see it and know that the word is truth. That’s how change happens.
No word, no change. How can we expect to see a harvest without planting a seed? Sending your child to school is a seed that you sow to further their education. Without that seed of sending your child to school, they cannot become who God called them to be.
ARE YOU GETTING ME TODAY?
A garden does not just grow without people planting seed. What seeds do you keep planting?
SEED TIME AND HARVEST IS A PRINCIPLE OF THE WORD OF GOD.
In Galatians 6:7 NIV it says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap”. We want to see a different harvest, we need to sow a different seed right? If we want to be more positive, then we need to feed on the good things and not the bad things.
WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING ON?
It is the power of the word of God that changes things. If you can’t stop complaining, then go feed on the word of God to get the complaint out of you. The word of God will cleanse you from that complaining spirit.
If we want to spend more time with God, then we have to sow the seed of clearing our busy schedule for Him. There is no such thing as my life is just too busy for God.
Then I have to ask you- where are your priorities? If you know that everything comes from God, then your excuse of BUSYNESS will come to an end. You will find a way to make time to grow in your relationship with God.
You will begin to pursue God above all things.
In Matthew 6:33 NIV it says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you”.
IT IS WHEN WE LOOK TO JESUS- THINGS BEGIN TO CHANGE IN OUR LIVES.
Pray this prayer today:
“Father God, I ask that you help me to let go of the distractions. Help me to focus on the victory you have already given me. Help me to stay committed to the process of reading the word and fixing my eyes on Jesus. I thank you Lord that your promises are YES and AMEN. I choose to believe your word and walk in faith all the days of my life. In Jesus name Amen”.
If you have not made Jesus your Lord and Savior I encourage you to say this prayer today:
“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I receive your forgiveness. I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. I declare I am washed by the blood of Jesus and I am now born again. I am a child of God. In Jesus name Amen”.
